Calle Principal, Panajachel, Guatemala

Vendors from far and wide spread their tipico in the Bomberos parking lot every Tuesday and Friday. This is the place for wholesale (as-is), authentic handwoven goods. One of the best markets of its kind in Guatemala.

The market typically runs from about 8:30am to 3pm, but get there early for best selection.

Mercado Municipal, Panajachel

Panajachel has a great market every day, though the biggest and best selection is on Sunday.

Don’t miss going inside, as some of the vendors with the best selection are inside.

14, Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala

The market operates daily, though market days are Sunday and Friday when the market fills the streets for a couple blocks. Typically you will find fruit outside and vegetables inside.

14, San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala

The San Lucas market fills several blocks on market days: Sunday and Tuesday, with a smaller market on Friday. Friday is the best day for flowers.
