Located in the PanaMed building on the little street that runs between Ferreteria Nueva and Central Ferretera. The building is about a block up the street on the left.
I have used Dr Andres many times and am always happy with his diagnosis and the time he takes to explain things.
He has now moved to a clinic just around the corner from the Central Ferretera.
I was sitting at a cafe in Panajachel when Dr. Andres pulled up on his bicycle to ask me how my infected insect bite was doing. I’d been to see him the week before with a rapidly spreading infection. I’d called him the day the infection started to spread and he said “can you meet me in my office in an hour?” Three days later the infection was completely gone.
As he pulled away on his bicycle, the people at the next table said “isn’t he great?” I’ve since heard that same sentiment from people in Panajachel at random times. He’s becoming the doctor of choice in Panajachel. He’s sincere but easygoing, and has a sense of humor.
If you’re in Panajachel and have a medical issue, I wouldn’t hesitate to call Dr. Andres. If he can’t help you, he’ll refer you to someone who can.
Though I have not had the occasion for Dr. Huang to treat me or my family, many of my friends have used him and are very happy with his expertise and treatment. He is a very good general doctor. He speaks English, returns phone calls, emails and will make house calls.
